..... would do his best, and us in all parts possible before the coming of the Coreers, yes likely above the coming of the Spangiaerden, seek to get an audience [with the Shogun],but order, with all we were questioned, why so early, unusual, came above that one should answer, that it happened to prove the gratitude to his Majesty about the silver that on behalf of this, to the Hollanders had honored, as well as about the changing of the Noble Sir Governor Nuijts, and also to prove our reference as well as the presents to his mentioned Majesty, which he said would bear great pleasure, that the donation pleased us so much, and would by that means certainly receive the earlier supply, should further with the State Counsels like Taeckimonde, and others speak because of our affairs, and having done all competently inform.
